Senior Vice President - Underwriting

Sandra Nelson joined Monitor Liability Managers in 1992 as one of its founding partners. Her role has evolved from Assistant Vice President of Underwriting to Senior Vice President of Underwriting. Sandy's duties include overseeing all underwriting, administrative, producer development, product development and regulatory compliance operations.

Sandy has seen Monitor grow from a few employees to more than 100. Her skills in planning and strategy development have helped Monitor become the broad-reaching provider of professional liability insurance it is today.

Her career in professional liability insurance began in 1986. Before joining Monitor Liability Managers, she was a Senior Underwriter at Great American Insurance Company in their Executive Liability Division.

She obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree in History and Economics from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.
