Vice President - Underwriting, Small Business Unit

 
Helen Savaiano serves as Vice President of Monitor's Small Business Unit. This department serves nonprofit organizations and small businesses, providing Employment Practices Liability and Management Liability products. She joined Monitor Liability Managers in 2000.

Helen began her career as a trial and appellate attorney specializing in the defense of professional liability claims. She also represented domestic insurers and London underwriters on coverage matters. In 1990, she entered the insurance industry specializing in Directors and Officers Liability for health care and managed care organizations and Medical Professional Liability Insurance. She also led the Nonprofit Directors and Officers Liability business line at GE/Westport.

She obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree from Southern Methodist University and her Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Notre Dame. Helen has served as a volunteer and board member for numerous nonprofit organizations.
